We need the Holy Spirit to give us a new identity in Christ. Our names and heritages may or may not be something that we are happy about. Our pasts may or may not be something that we are happy about. Regardless, we can face the challenges of the present and future, not by power, nor by might, but by the Spirit. When we receive the Spirit of God, we gain new identity. That identity as children of God reveals in us the power of God.
As Spirit-filled Christians, we often live beneath our privilege. We have within us more power than we think!
The Spirit can sustain us. The Spirit can cause us to succeed. The Spirit gives us identity with God.
We need the power of the Spirit!
