Education is not everything, but it is highly significant in the journey of success. Another critical nugget of wisdom in the stride of success is humility. Although education is sorely needed, it has a way of puffing us up if we are not careful. I often think about that ole saying, \”Humbleness is the way.\” So, if education is the weapon, humility is the instruction to use it.
20th century American author and journalist Ernest Hemingway says, “There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self.”
We gain knowledge to help others and not to esteem ourselves above others. As we study, let\’s remember to study to help others and to become better ourselves.
In the words of an old adage, \”Learn all that you can, and can all that you learn.\” But, it takes humility to learn and to retain knowledge.
May the lesson of humility be with us, always!
